Client installation, Ubuntu 10.04 "libsync0" fails to instal

Postby mazellan » Thu May 17, 2012 3:34 pm

Hi, I'm trying to install the owncloud client on a Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) box. But it fails with the installation of the dependency "libsync0". Tried to add the repo (description found on the following site), but then it says it cannot find the "key"/signature. When using the binary it fails due to the dependency of libsync

http://software.opensuse.org/download/p ... oud-client

Any hints?

I have a similar problem with Lubuntu 12.04 64-bit. it says the libcsync-plugin-owncloud:i386 needs libneon27-gnutls, but that it won't be installed. Strangely, this package is actually installed already.

I have successfully installed the client on two 32-bit ubuntu systems.

Hi,

use the repository provided by Opensuse instead, it works well :

Code: Select all
sudo echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:community/xUbuntu_12.04/ /' >> /etc/apt/sources.list

sudo wget -O - http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/ownCloud2012/xUbuntu_12.04/Release.key | sudo apt-key add -

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install owncloud-client

Yes, that worked for me now. I must have done something wrong before. Anyway, it's up and running a sync against my server now and it seems to be going OK.

I have the problem that I putting on my apt the opensuse repository, and latter on the apt-get update said:
99% [Waiting for headers]
Take more than 10 minuts to get the source. Somebody have the same problem?
