Sync Contact Pics btw. OwnCloud 4,Thunderbird,Android&IPad?

I have the problem, that pictures in Contacts aren´t shown in web interface.

Changing names on mac adressbook or iPhone are visible in web interface, but not the other direction.
When changing for example birthdate in web interface, I see this on adressbook and iPhone

Any idea?

OC seems to be some kind of picky when it comes to the VCF-format which is used to import data from other sources into OC's address book.

For example if you have line breaks after some notes for a contact (with Thunderbird Address Book: Edit Contact for ... --> Other --> Notes) OC wont import the whole contact or fails entirely (but sometimes just not import the picture for that contact) if you have empty line breaks after your remarks.

Check if you have line breaks after your notes for a contact and delete them. Then try to sync again with OC. Does it work now?

Hmmm, its not possible for me to edit more then 800 contacts manually. Locks like owncloud is at this time more a solution for private using...

Yeah, I agree with that. It was a pain in the ass to check/edit 470+ contacts which are in my address book. Not to mention the time i have spend to find out where the problem is...

But maybe you want to check this with just a few of your contacts? If the syncing works for these edited contacts we can file a bug report

I have installed a new calendar and testet some different ways. The sync works fine in both ways (OwnCloud->Thunderbird and Thunderbird->Owncloud) when im using no pictures.

When im choosing "pics from my computer" in thunderbird it works only in thunderbird and the sync to owncloud fails (and never work again until im deleting all pics in thunderbird).

When im choosing "pics from web" it works in thunderbird and the sync to owncloud works, but i cant see the pic in owncloud and after the sync the pic is deleted in thunderbird too (maybe by owncloud).

I had similar issues with Evolution. Pictures added via the OC web interface did not display in Evolution and quite often weren't saved in the OC web interface too!

However,if a contact had no picture I can addone in Evolution and it appears in OC without a hitch.

Even with oc 4.5.1 I still have this problem. Any solutions, yet?

The corresponding bug ( https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/209 ) was closed, because the problem with the Contact-Pics not beeing synced is suspected to be caused by the SoGo-Connector (the Thunderbird-Plugin I use to sync Contacts with Owncloud).

My question: Do you know another way to sync Contacts from Owncloud and Thunderbird?

This is also affecting me.
I looked at the card file, and it seems to be a problem with the file type:

Picture syncing is working with: (Written by Android)
PHOTO;ENCODING=B;TYPE=JPEG;VALUE=BINARY:

Now try to upload a jpg picture to another Contact at OwnCloud Webinterface:
PHOTO;ENCODING=b;TYPE=image/png:
-> Changed to PNG

Also the VALUE Tag isn't there!
