File(s) Don't Upload

Postby stash » Tue Jun 26, 2012 12:30 am

I got a weird issue that started today. Was running version 4.0.2 and modified the max upload files size limit (was 8MB, now 190MB.) Files uploaded fine.

I then attempted to see why PC users couldn't upload more than one file at a time. Tried IE9. No luck (couldn't select more than one file at a time.) Tried Firefox 13.x. I was able to select multiple files, but it wouldn't upload. Tried Safari 5.x. I was able to select multiple files, but the uploading was stuck on pending. I waited a couple of minutes with no status change. I then quit Safari.

I went back to my Mac and attempted to upload files and started getting an error. It doesn't matter if I attempt to upload one or multiple files. The files show as uploading, but as soon as the upload completes, they disappear and owncloud tells me "No file was uploaded. Unknown Error." Checking owncloud's logs, it shows nothing. I've checked the actual data store and nothing is showing there, so the files truly weren't uploaded.

Thinking that the issue may be somewhere in the owncloud install, I updated to version 4.0.3, but no change to the outcome.

I'm stumped. Any ideas?

I set the upload size to 100MB and it's all good now. Next question is, how big is the file limit in owncloud?

I had the same exact issue here, and also noticed that bumping up the setting on the server made my wordpress install have a bunch of issues... Going to try lessening it and see what happens.

Thanks for the tip!

Theoretically OC doesn't have an upload limit. The limit is imposed by php and there are some issues when you make this 2GB or bigger.
