Wrong maximum upload size

Postby RandolphCarter » Tue Aug 14, 2012 6:51 am

Just noticed (again, had seen that a few weeks before already but forgot about it) that there is a ridiciulously high value shown in the "File handling" section on the "Admin" tab for the "Maximum possible upload size", but see for yourself in the picture below.

Does anybody know where this value could come from? It's definitely not any value from the php configuration, neither the post_max_size (which is 1024M) nor the upload_max_filesize (which is also 1024M). If anything, shouldn't the value shown here be the upload_max_filesize value?

I found out where the number comes from: The only place I could find where the shown value is actually set is line 57 in apps/files/admin.php; and there PHP_INT_MAX is used ... I wonder why upload_max_filesize isn't used here...
I should have a pristine 4.0.6 installation (just copied config directory), so I don't think I have changed that...

Edit: Just updated to 4.0.7 (using all files from 4.0.7 except for config.php), and it still occurs. I will enter a bug.

The bug I reported was closed - it should not occur in owncloud 4.5 anymore - but I just updated my owncloud, and it's still exactly the same as before!
What's the thing to do here - create a new bug? I commented on the old one but I doubt anyone will look at that comment. Can someone else confirm that this bug is still existing in 4.5?

Dumb question: I don't see the "Maximum upload size" entry at all on that page. Is there any of the apps I had to enable to see it?

Honestly, I have no idea if that is the output of an app - for me it's there before and after upgrading from 4.0.8 to 4.5; I didn't disable any apps except the external ones in between, but also didn't enable any special apps on 4.0.x before...

I saw someone writing here already that he didn't have the max upload size setting in 4.5. It must be somewhere in 4.5, though, since I didn't copy any files from 4.0.x except the config file...

I guess I'll have to play around with the apps...

The .htaccess file in the ownCloud folder needs to be writable by the webserver for the setting to show up. See http://owncloud.org/support/install/ under 2.3
