sqlite3 and MySQL

Postby rayalan » Mon Oct 15, 2012 4:31 am

I haven't been able to find a clear answer, other than basic discussions...

I am trying to reinstall/reconfigure a OC4.5 instance to use MySQL

I am not concerned about users -- we can set those up again...

I can't seem to get the setup wizard to recognize MySQL as an option

When I change the Install=>"false" and open the browser, the setup screen appears -- however, when I click advanced it says "SQLite will be used" and never gives me the option to use MySQL

I have also changed the config.php to reflect MySql with no luck
I even deleted the config.php and modified the sample config to reflect MySQL and it still continues to say SQLite will be used...

Am I doing something wrong or missing something to enable the MySQL option? Oh, and yes, MySQL is installed

Ubuntu is the OS

Thanks!

Mike

Thanks for the reply -- I didn't have that module installed, but I did add it, still no joy...
After installing the module, I changed the installed value to false and tried and then tried changing the database value to mySQL, still no change -- the setup page says SQLite will be used...

Any other thoughts on why I can't see MySQL as an option?

Thanks!

Have you tried removing the config.php (or simply renaming it, to keep a back up) completely instead of just setting installed to false?
