All these entries are likely related to the contacts app.
Is it possible to limit the import of contacts to a specific "group" or does the Google API not provide that?

Yes, it is possible.

What ownCloud version do you have installed?

@Vicdeo: then treat my questions as feature suggestions ;-)
Always willing to beta test as I am not using this OC installation in production but rather to get familiar with OC.

Server: own root server

4.0.4

Problem appeared when I installed Gsync in 4.0.2 and persisted when upgrading to 4.0.3 and 4.0.4

@mtd

Is there anything in the server log file after visiting personal page?
I suspect that get_loaded_extensions function is disabled in php.ini.
If you do know that php_curl is installed on your server try to change
Code: Select all
   <?php if (!in_array('curl', get_loaded_extensions())) { ?>

to
Code: Select all
   <?php if (false) { ?>

in the gsync/templates/settings.php

@VicDeo:

I went back for the stable edition of OC, dropped the whole DB contents, isntalled it freshly and when using your gsync 0.4 I am still getting too many connections from Google :-( - is it possible to have another look at this please?

Code: Select all
Banned the following ip addresses on Fri Jul  6 08:15:01 CEST 2012
173.194.69.104 with 150 connections

thats is one of Google's IPs :-(

Hi, just a little to tell you that I can't use your apps...

I installed owncloud yesterday, version 4.5 beta 2,
I tested your app : gsync 0.4
php5-curl is enabled (since yesterday :) ),

In my personal interface, I don't know what to put in the "client ID" field.
I tried my gmail address, but the @ and the "." disappear in the google request and it doesn't work (google error). (something@gmail.com become somethinggmailcom)

Maybe I didn't understand what is the "client ID" ?

It is designed for OC 4.x. Unfortunately I have no time to test it with 4.5 currently.
Here is a graphical instruction how to obtain a Client Id

PS
It seems that we will have an easier way to sync soon:

I've noticed that it's quite popular :)
Updated to work with 4.5.x. properly since no one has offered better alternative yet
