Change permissions of the users directories

Hi,
I'd like to use ownCloud together with Samba. It should be possible to access the directories and files with Samba and ownCloud.
Samba creates the permissions like user:www-data. Thereby ownCloud is not able to access the files correctly anymore. ownCloud sets the permissions according the "root" directory like www-data:www-data, that causes access problems to Samba.
Therefore I need to change the permissions of ther users directories. Is there any chance to configure ownCloud that it set the permissions like user:www-data?

You can do this using ACL. That way a file can have more than one users or groups with various permissions. Look up the getfacl and setfacl commands.

As for using Samba, I'm trying to do the same thing. It seems possible but terribly messy. I'm not sure how practical it is. Let me know if you get it working well.
