CSync failed to load state db

Postby Brian » Wed May 23, 2012 4:31 pm

I'm running Fedora 16 64bit and Fedora 15 32bit clients although a quick search returns results for this same error on Windows too. Version 1.01 and 1.02 work fine until I come in the next day and there's a red X (in 1.01) or a red cloud (in 1.02). The error message is "CSync failed to load the state db".

Restarting the client corrects the issue until the next day. It's 100% reproducible on both of my client tests.

Edit: Same issue with 3.03 and 4.00 server side (not sure if this is client or server related).

I can confirm this error - it occurs with the Client running under Win7 64-bit ! The problem doesn't occur with the Ubuntu Client running under 12.04. That's all I can say...

I hope this issue is addressed soon...

Client Version is 1.0.2 on Windows and Ubuntu respectively...!

desperate greetings

Yes there is:
Windows User Accounts with "Umlauts" and/or special characters seem to cause the problem.

This doesn't solve the problem "CSync failed to load state db" for me. For one, my clients are on Linux machines--but the issue is across all platforms.

I'm still seeing this too and having figured it out.

My server is CentOS 6.2 clients are 5 Fedora 15-16 computers and 2 Windows computers. They all work fine until the next morning the icon turns red and the error is "CSync failed to load state db".
