Multiple instances on same login

Postby headphones » Wed May 30, 2012 4:20 am

Hello,
My wife and I use the same log in on the home computer, but both have our own mobile devices. I was wondering if we can run 2 instances of the ownCloud client on the home computer that would sync our different folders to our own user names?

Thanks!

Mint Linux 12 (Ubuntu 12.04)

I guess you have to use different user logins on your home computer then, one for each user :)

So that's the only solution? For a family computer, having to change profiles just to do something like sync my cloud is a pain. It seems to come with all the cloud services. Why is that? Right now I use Spideroak and she's on dropbox for this very reason (although dropbox has a multiple instance work around) just so that we don't have to change logins all the time.

Lots of people would find this a useful feature - just google "dropbox multiple users one accounts one computer" to see. I think I'll move this to feature requests.

Thanks!
