Repository for Ubuntu 12.04 has been removed

Postby kikobar » Thu Jun 16, 2016 9:04 am

The ownCloud client repository for Ubuntu 12.04 appears to have been removed.
Is there any recommendation about how to go about this?, Shall I wait for the repository to be restored?, perhaps installing 14.04 instead?
Thanks!

Steps to reproduce
1. On an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS box with ownCloud client install run: sudo apt-get update

Expected behaviour
apt-get will download and update all software sources including the repository where the owncloud client is supposed to be:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... 4/Packages

Actual behaviour
apt-get attempts to download the repositories but is not able to find the owncloud client repository, ending with the following error:
W: Failed to fetch http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... 4/Packages 404 Not Found

Client configuration
Client version: 2.2.0
Client operating system: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Same issue here. If you navigate through the "Download" process for Ubuntu Linux on the main OwnCloud website, you eventually get to this URL: https://software.opensuse.org/download/ ... oud-client
which doesn't list Ubuntu 12.04 as an option. Have they dropped support for this version?

Sorry, I was offline for several days and I didn't register this bug in the tracker, however, thanks to brentfincham for doing it here: https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/5032
