not able to add sync folder

Postby rekorder » Wed Oct 24, 2012 10:24 am

Hi,
I'm using ownCloud 4.5 under Ubuntu 12.04 and sync client 1.1.1 under windows xp and mac os x lion.
I'm not able to conncet to a sync folder.
It says "Folder not available, Click to create it." well ,in german actually :-)
Creating doesn't work.
What seems to work, is what is disregarded: using the root directory.
But it fails anyway when it tries to sync.
I wonder if there is a special option for folders I created in owncloud/files?
Do I have to share them.
Must they be owned by a special group.
Behavior is the same and Win and Mac.
Greets,

Edit: looking at my apache2 error.log it says: [error] [client 153.96.69.66] script '/usr/share/owncloud/remote.php' not found or unable to stat
using the web interface seems to work anyway

I have exactly the same issue and platform.

I also get these errors in the client sync logs:
10-25 16:44:24:074 ownCloudInfo Network Error: 203
10-25 16:44:24:074 ** webdav mkdir request finished 203
10-25 16:44:24:074 ** webdav mkdir request finished 203
10-25 16:44:24:074 ** webdav mkdir request finished 203
10-25 16:44:24:074 ** webdav mkdir request finished 203
10-25 16:44:24:074 ** webdav mkdir request finished 203

A solution to this problem would be awesome!

This package in ubuntu seems to be broken. Uninstall it and install owncloud manually.
You can use web installer available on the download page, it's very convenient.
