The uploaded file was only partially uploaded

Postby MCoLo90 » Mon May 11, 2015 3:46 pm

Hi all,
i've spent a lot of time trying to understand that problem, but i don't find a solution yet.
Hope anybody here can help me
I already read all suggested configuration for upload limits, in this moment i'm using

- Nginx 1.4.6
- PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.9
- ownCloud 6.0.6
- Ubuntu 14.04.2
- Mysql-server-wsrep 5.6.16-25.5

PHP configuration:

max_execution_time = 3600
max_input_time = 3600
memory_limit = 3094M
post_max_size = 8G
upload_max_filesize = 8G
opcache.save_comments=1

Nginx configuration:

client_max_body_size 10G;
fastcgi_read_timeout 3600;
proxy_connect_timeout 3600;
proxy_send_timeout 3600;
proxy_read_timeout 3600;
send_timeout 3600;

the file was uploaded in the tmp folder, but through web interface appears that message :

"The uploaded file was only partially uploaded"

After the above message, I can't view or modify the file that i've tried to upload
The file used is 7.5GB. I have that problem, only using web-interface and not through sync-client. With smaller file, all is working correctly
In the log files, i can't find good information, only:

ownCloud[29627]: {files} Upload error: 3 - The uploaded file was only partially uploaded

Anybody can give me some suggestion/help?

Thanks so much
Regards

Marco

Drop kicking the low hanging fruit I'll ask how big is tmp? Is it actual tmpfs or part of root? Had this issue and found my, 'upload_tmp_dir', value in php.ini, (cannot be set elsewhere as I understand it), was pointing at /tmp which was part of the root system with only 10GB free and was capping the upload size. Can see this value in phpinfo() output under, 'Core'.

Hi,
i've configured in php.ini:

upload_tmp_dir = "/tmp"

/tmp is mounted on a secondary hard disk, with 40G of space:

admin@ocd:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb 40G 48M 38G 1% /tmp

in phpinfo(), i can found: "upload_tmp_dir = /tmp"
i tried to mount /tmp as part of the root system, but this don't solve the problem.
Really, i don't know what to try.. :shock:

Thanks for reply
Regards
Marco

I had the same issue and was able to resolve by upgrading PHP to 5.6

sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php5-5.6
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install php5
