For the first releases of OC 8.0.x, the key conversion process was just started automatically:
https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/14012

Then it was announced that this key rewriting will be more efficient in OC 8.0.3, so that's perhaps when they decided that this conversion process has to be started manually...

Mhhh, could be possible. Have asked the question for users without shell access here:

A possible solution for the error when trying to install an app:

App does not provide an info.xml file

which is caused by a missing intermediate certificate on the base system. Add:

Code: Select all

curl.cainfo = "/path/to/ca.pem"

(https://php.net/manual/en/curl.configuration.php)

into your php.ini (/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini for example).

Other possible config options are:

Code: Select all

openssl.cafile = /path/to/ca.pem
openssl.capath = /path/to/cafiles/

(http://akrabat.com/ssl-certificate-veri ... n-php-5-6/)

The "ca.pem" file can be "exported" like described here:

http://ownclouden.blogspot.de/2014/11/o ... mount.html

I'm not absolutely sure but IIRC its the "Go Daddy Secure Certificate Authority - G2" which is missing here.

@RealRancor: Thank you. I linked it from the main topic and cleaned up for OC 8.0.3.

Update to OC 8.0.3 can fail with an "mpossible to write to binary log since BINLOG_FORMAT = STATEMENT" message:

https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/16008

Possible work around until a fix is released:

https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues ... t-98360739

@tflidd Great, thanks!!!

Meaning it is supposed to be fixed for 8.0.3? I've got a new install and am getting the same errors. Just wondering. Some apps install and others get the "App does not provide an info.xml file" error. And it's not consistent based upon the owner/publisher.

Hi,

no that just means that he cleaned up the main topic from stuff fixed in OC 8.0.3 and additionally linked my post to the main thread as it is still an issue. However OC 8.1 will ship a workaround for systems like yours which are missing the intermediate certificate for the appstore which is causing this issue.

Thanks. So in the interim the possible ca work around you posted above might work?

Yes, it might work. I havn't tested it myself as i don't have this problem on Debian Jessie so its just a collection of some posts here and in the IRC channel. Another workaround could be to install the apps manually from the appstore.

Thanks. I tried the solution you mentioned above and it did not work so I'll try to manually install them.
