ownCloud runs on many devices and environments. It scales well to be on embedded devices and high performance systems.
So everybody has to judge his needs and select his device/service. Which one are you using to run your ownCloud server instance?

Missing option: home server

Postby Yetanfou » Mon Mar 16, 2015 8:34 pm

I had to choose 'installed on NAS', but it is really installed on a home server with a bit more oomph than the typical NAS. The same server runs all other typical services (web/mail/media/db/etc) and hosts about 7 TB of data for internal and limited external use. OC hosts 7 users, most of whom only make limited use of its facilities.

Just added "Home server" as last option. Ten are allowed.

Unfortunately votes have been reset :o
Oh, what a mess

ALL USERS: PLEASE VOTE AGAIN AND SORRY FOR THAT.

You should add a block below the OS/Web/DB/PHP boxes in the profile to describe the server.

Your setup does not fit any of the ten possible choices.
So ... no idea.

Good idea.

Bad side: Not many users maintain profile values. Removing them is another option :(
