Contributing to Open Source projects - but why?

Postby rakekniven » Mon Jan 11, 2016 2:11 pm

Hey Folks,

our Open Source community is big and great. Some of us get paid
by a company and some of us do it because of personal interest. But when is
it profitable to pay contributors for their work on Open Source projects?
How much influence does a company have on an Open Source project? How do
you
see the topic of paying open source programmers and would you like to get
paid?

We want to research some of these questions in a seminar at the
TU-Berlin. Our problem is that there are only few papers on this topic.
So we need your help! :)

We created a survey with some questions, it will take you less then 5
minutes
and we don not save any kind of identifying information like your name or
ip address.

Best wishes
