Problem changing datadirectory

Postby Tester_owncloud2 » Fri Feb 12, 2016 1:58 pm

I have the following problem:

I've installed apache2, owncloud and so on my raspberry pi but on the screen http://<IP>/owncloud/ where I create the admin user for first time I cannot select /media/pi/Nube/ as data directory, I was only capable of choosing /var/www/html/owncloud/data/

This is the way how /media/pi/Nube/ is mounted
/dev/sda7 on /media/pi/Nube type ext3 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered,uhelper=udisks2)

And those are the permissions of /media/pi/Nube/
drwxrwxrwx 2 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 12 10:30 /media/pi/Nube

I've checked that users even different from www-data can write files inside the folder, for example I tried "touch test" for the user called pi

I've also tried to accept what it proposes and make my data directory in /var/www/html/owncloud/data and then I've changed config.php and the field datadirectory as /media/pi/Nube I also copied with the same permissions the folder called data to /media/pi/Nube, but the problem still perssits.

Some help, please? could it has to do with the apache configuration which maybe doesn't allow me access/modify directories over /var/www/html/?

Thanks in advance

my personal recommendation (an easier way instead modifying whole oc_filecahe in the database)

instead moving the data folder, create a symbolic link pointing to the same direction from your new storage point to the original data folder should be.
