Problem with php occ files:scan -all

Postby cstolze » Mon Feb 29, 2016 3:23 pm

Environment: Ubuntu 14.4

Server: Apache 2

Database: MySql 5.5

Client: 2.1.1

OC-Version: 8.2.2

PHP-Version:5.5.9

I use a php script on the webserver which use the php command

Code: Select all

exec('php /srv/owncloud/console.php files:scan --all');

It was working fine under ubuntu 12 (I guess it was php 5.4 or 5.6). Now after the update to ubuntu 14 the system crash when using the command or alternative the

Code: Select all

exec('php /srv/owncloud/occ files:scan --all');

command. I use the script to force a sync without waiting if needed. Because it seems to me, that you cant trust the update times between the diffrent computers and devices we use. Anyone have an idea? I searched the web and the forum, but didnt get any answer which solve the problem. I dont need sudo -user www-data, because the script allready is using this user to run.

Thanks

You're probably just not supposed to run the occ command from a PHP script via the webserver.

Owner of the occ file is www-data, which have the right to execute the occ file, but we updated PHP. It worked before the update, so there meight be missing a module or some settings are diffrent. Any idea where to look ?
