Error when cron.php runs: Undefined index: SCRIPT_FILENAME at /home/owncloud/public_html/lib/base.php#143

Postby GJSchaller » Tue May 17, 2016 4:34 pm

Please help us by providing the following info. Before posting please also check the pinned "Known issues" thread.

Steps to reproduce
1. Schedule cron.php to run on a regular basis (15 minutes)
2. Check error log in admin area.

Expected behaviour
No errors should be present.

Actual behaviour
Error in log, every time cron.php runs:
Undefined index: SCRIPT_FILENAME at /home/owncloud/public_html/lib/base.php#143

Server configuration
Operating system: Linux
Web server: Apache Version 2.2.24
Database: MySQL Version 5.5.31-30.3-log
PHP version: 5.6.21
ownCloud version (see ownCloud admin page): 8.2.5
Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: Updated
ownCloud log (data/owncloud.log):
Undefined index: SCRIPT_FILENAME at /home/owncloud/public_html/lib/base.php#143

Special configuration (external storage, external authentication, reverse proxy, server-side-encryption): None.

Any idea what's causing this error? I did search for the issue and saw several responses about permissions, but checking line 143 in base.php, I don't see a specific file that I can check permissions on.

If someone is stumbling over this here is a possible solution:

Closing as a duplicate of that thread for now.
