configure Softlayer Object Storage as external storage

Postby gilli_vj » Thu Mar 24, 2016 6:09 am

Hi Support,

I need to add SoftLayer Object Storage as external storage.
Softlayer provides following as account credential :-
- Authentication Endpoint
- Username
- API Key (Password)

In ownclod config, we need to fill-in following mandatory fields:-
- Bucket
- USername
- Password
- Tenant name
- Identity Endpoint URL

Based on both config, i can match username, password, endpoint URL, but, not sure on Tenant name name bucket.
Please help guide me on this configuration. I can't find resources related to such configs.

Thank you.

Hi,

ah than its fine. Have a look at this available configuration:

https://doc.owncloud.org/server/9.0/adm ... stack.html

If you're missing some required info from softlayer.com which is needed by ownCloud maybe ask their support for those info?

Ah, forgot to mention. As an alternative you could also create an issue at:

https://github.com/owncloud/documentation/issues

asking to provide more info how to configure that object storage. Most people in this forums are just end- or home-users not using such external storages.
