Changing domain name of my oC server

Postby funkytwig » Tue Jul 19, 2016 5:35 pm

Hi. We have been using owncloud a noip.me domain (a NOIP DYDNS domain). We have upgraded our NOIP service and got a new domain for use with downcloud. I added it to trusted_domains in config.php but the new doamin does not work. What have I missed?

Perhaps the virtualHost settings?
We need more information what is not working (and what might be working).

OK. I can ping the server and ssh into it. I cant go the the oC web interface (Secure Connection Failed) and if I try to setup a client using the new domain I get an 'Failed to connect to ownCloud at http://mydomain.org/status.php. Connection refused.' error.

I did 'grep -e olddomain.org *' in /etc/apachie2 and got nothing returned. Also 'grep -r virtualHost *' returns nothing. Its a villain install using the owncloud eatery sources.list (ubuntu). Used the guide at https://doc.owncloud.org/server/9.0/adm ... tallation/. The only place I could find a reference to the old domain was in config.php and have changed these to the new one.

Its a box with only owncloud and zabbix running from the same domain.

Do I need to regenerate the self signed certificate? It was done during the install but don't think I had to specify the domain.

Using the old domain still works fine (I left it as a allowed host, just added the new one.

Secured connection failed could indicate a certificate problem. If your server is reachable from the internet, you can check your ssl-setup on ssllabs.com
