no logs, no cron, no sync

Postby fraksken » Sat Apr 09, 2016 12:21 pm

Hello,

I'm having the following scenario:
- Owncloud 8.0.10 installed through packages
- Mysql: Mariadb 10.1
- php: 5.4.16
- Installed in january - running fine until yesterday. No config change
- User auth via LDAP

Steps to reproduce
I logged into owncloud to delete a file.
I got the notice:

Code: Select all

An internal error occured.
Please try again or contact your administrator.

So I try again. Then login works fine, But I get the error:

Code: Select all

Encryption App is enabled but your keys are not initialized, please log-out and log-in again

re-login does not solve the problem.
While file detetion, it took say a couple of minutes.
When opening a new window and going to files I get following error:

Code: Select all

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator if this error reappears multiple times, please include the technical details below in your report.
More details can be found in the server log.

Technical details
Remote Address: xx.xx.xx.xx
Request ID: a9dafb4d50ce21a184f256ae91515b88

This message appears each time I login with that user.
Syncing stopped working since then.

I login with admin user to check problems in the logs. There are no logs to be seen, even though the log level is on it's highest.
There's also the following error message:

Code: Select all

Last cron was executed at April 8, 2016 at 5:46:39 PM GMT+2. This is more than an hour ago, something seems wrong.

I tried to execute the cron manually. php cron.php does not return anything
curl domain.com/cron.php returns:

Code: Select all

{"data":{"message":"Unexpected error!"},"status":"error"}

Expected behaviour
there should be logs, there should be syncing, the encryption should not fail

Actual behaviour
no logs, no syncing, encryption fail

The last yum update was on 1/4/16:

Code: Select all

    23 | root <root>              | 2016-04-01 09:03 | I, U           |   27

No config changes should have happened since.

For internal server errors, you have to take a look into your server logfiles: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7330

Thanks for your quick reply!
I went to look for those logs and the logs that weren't there I created.
After restarting the httpd server I generated some error pages, but no logs have been stored.
The httpd error_log only shows notices from the last httpd restart.
I added a specific log for the virtualhost, which returns nothing.
I created a log for php errors, but again, there's nothing in there.

Anything else I can do?

---edit----

I do get access logs though. I noticed the following:

Code: Select all

xx.xx.xx.xx - - [09/Apr/2016:13:22:42 +0200] "GET /index.php/apps/files/ HTTP/1.1" 500 12506 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2657.0 Safari/537.36 OPR/37.0.2171.0 (Edition developer)"
xx.xx.xx.xx- - [09/Apr/2016:13:22:42 +0200] "GET /cron.php HTTP/1.1" 200 57 "https://domain/index.php/apps/files/" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2657.0 Safari/537.36 OPR/37.0.2171.0 (Edition developer)"

Seems like the cron.php is not returning any errors. But the admin page tells me there is a problem.

----edit2----
When I try to change the cron method in the admin page I see the following in the log:

Code: Select all

xx.xx.xx.xx - - [09/Apr/2016:13:26:30 +0200] "POST /index.php/core/ajax/appconfig.php HTTP/1.1" 500 10569 "https://domain/index.php/settings/admin" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/601.5.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.1 Safari/601.5.17"
