Unable to start TLS: Server is unavailable

Postby isma399 » Mon Jan 05, 2015 2:37 pm

Hello,

I've finished one week ago the installation and configuration of OwnCloud. Users are authenticated against ActiveDirectory. Authentification seems to work fine.

In the log, i have this message :

Code: Select all

{"app":"PHP","message":"ldap_start_tls(): Unable to start TLS: Server is unavailable at \/var\/www\/html\/apps\/user_ldap\/lib\/ldap.php#252","level":3,"time":"2015-01-05T13:01:51+01:00"}

I take a look at the code but I don't understand what's going on. Does this message matter?

I have also this message :

Code: Select all

{"app":"PHP","message":"file_put_contents(\/tmp\/owncloud-occ4678108f8\/LDAP-user_ldap--a7fb0130d29be7da120f37982eb1ec6f): failed to open stream: Permission denied at \/var\/www\/html\/lib\/private\/cache\/fileglobal.php#43","level":3,"time":"2015-01-05T13:00:02+01:00"}

I think it's a permission issue but I don't know if it's secured to give write access to apache in the tmp folder.

Can anyone give me advice?
Thank you.

Updating the oc_appconfig table seems to work :
MariaDB [owncloud_database]> update oc_appconfig set configvalue=0 where appid='user_ldap' and configkey = 'ldap_tls';

Hope, it's still secured.

Hi there,

We are running into the exact same issue. Would you mind elaborating on what you did to resolve? Where did you find oc_appconfig?

Thanks,

He turned off the tls-option in the database. Either connect directly to the database on the terminal and execute his command or if you have some interface (like phpmyadmin) you can search through yourself (in table oc_appconfig). There is a config_key "ldap_tls", you have to set the configvalue to 0.
