Owncloud Apps Minor Version Upgrade Problem

Postby bdichgans » Mon Apr 25, 2016 12:00 pm

Hi,

I'm having problems upgrading Contacts from v.1.1.0.0 to v1.2.0.0. I get the Upgrade OC Screen. During the Migration Process it gets stuck. Also when I try using the command line upgrade it does not work. When I check my OC logs it does not show anything.

I'm having the same issue with the calendar app. v. 1.0 to v. 1.1

Should there even be any DB migration between these minor versions?

Thanks for Helping me out.

Are you using owncloud 9.0?
If you have shell access, you can try and use the occ-command to upgrade:

Code: Select all

sudo -u www-data php /path/to/owncloud/occ -v upgrade

it should tell you more details. You can even put more v's (occ -vv) to get it more verbose.

Yes I'm using OC 9.0.1 Thanks for -vv I think that might be helpful! I'm using php 7.0.5 with MYSQL on a Archlinux Server.

I tested it with -vv and it seems like it gets stuck with:
Repair step: Repair MySQL database engine

If I check the MYSQL Process it is running at a very low CPU usage: 1- 4% normally when I did these migrations it was running at 50% to 100%

It also does not let me exit out of the upgrade process with ctrl+c

Can you read the database-tables? Or very big ones?

It seems to have gotten very big also there seem to be some tables left over from apps I tested on this own cloud installation. Is there a way to clean up the database and get rid of all the unnecessary data before migration. I checked the size of the database and the file cache tables seems to be massive some of them up to 20 Gigabyte.

I tried this:
https://doc.owncloud.org/server/9.0/adm ... ions-label

But: There are no commands defined in the "files" namespace.
